With the increase demand for remote employees, employers may not be located in the same city or state as their employees thereby the need to verify an employee’s identity face to face becomes challenging.  That is where Phoenix Signatory Services steps in!

 

At Phoenix Signatory Services our services are mobile we come to you! We will work with your employee at their convenience to meet employer deadline for executing I-9 forms. I-9's will be completed by a commissioned notary, to act on your behalf with a face to face meeting with the new hire remotely. Your employee can set up a meeting place within our service areas, via an office building, Starbucks or even at home. We come to you at your convenience!

 

We understand that you are entrusting us with critical documents so, rest assured our notaries are bonded and are yearly background screened.

 

All U.S. employers must complete and retain a Form I-9 for each individual they hire for employment in the United States. This includes citizens and non-citizens. An I-9 Form does not require an authorized notarial act of any kind - therefore we cannot affix a notarial seal impression on it. If we agree to serve as an employer’s Authorized Representative, our agent is not serving as a notary in any capacity.

According to the Department of Homeland Security – U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, employers may designate an authorized representative (including personnel officers, foremen, agents or notary public) to fill out Forms I-9 on behalf of their organization. When our notary signs the form in the capacity of Authorized Representative of the verifying employer, we will indicate “Authorized Representative” as in the title section not “Notary Public.”
